You build a draft on nights like this. Walter Nolen had no business being available in the Round 5 slot, and the Cowboys did the only sane thing and turned in the card.
The cost of the Hancock reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

In the Round 1 slot they get a blindside protector at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
