Nobody else had Joe Milton III anywhere near the 94th pick. The Dolphins did, by 106 spots, and that gap is the whole story. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 26 they get a matchup problem out wide. The biggest hole, addressed.
Kingsley Suamataia at the 55th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Joe Milton III at pick No. 94 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
By-the-book stuff, Jarrian Jones at No. 133 squarely in line with his ranking. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
They went early on Drake Nugent in slot 198, and the value did not follow. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Eyabi Okie-Anoma in the Round 7 slot, miles early. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
