You could see the war room lean forward. Ollie Gordon II at pick No. 217 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Sanders left real value on the table behind him. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

In pick 4 they get a press-man option on the boundary. Need was not the driver here.
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Malaki Starks in the 38th overall pick, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

Circle this one: Smael Mondon Jr. at Round 5, Pick 6 is a fall that decides a draft. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Ollie Gordon II in the 217th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It fills a real need, too.
A big swing on Shilo Sanders at No. 220, well ahead of any board in the building. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Deion Burks at the 238th pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
