This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jaydon Blue, the No. 173 name on the board, stolen at Round 7, Pick 22. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Bottom line, with Tyler Warren leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Tyler Warren · TE · rank 16
In the 25th overall pick they get a moveable chess piece at tight end, and a steal at that.
R2.6 · Pick 38 · Wyatt Milum · OT · rank 35
They did well to land Wyatt Milum in pick No. 38, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R3.5 · Pick 69 · Elic Ayomanor · WR · rank 57
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Elic Ayomanor at the Round 3 slot. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R3.13 · Pick 77 · Donovan Jackson · OT · rank 64
The board had Donovan Jackson higher than pick 77, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R3.15 · Pick 79 · Isaiah Bond · WR · rank 76
Nothing to complain about; Isaiah Bond went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R4.4 · Pick 106 · Cam Skattebo · RB · rank 100
Cam Skattebo at No. 106 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R5.6 · Pick 144 · Joshua Farmer · DT · rank 112
Joshua Farmer in Round 5, Pick 6 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R7.1 · Pick 217 · Jaylen Reed · S · rank 188
A safety of that caliber at slot 217 is the definition of value, full stop. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R7.4 · Pick 220 · Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson · OT · rank 196
They barely believed it either: Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson still on the board at pick 220. A need, and now a little less of one.
R7.22 · Pick 238 · Jaydon Blue · RB · rank 173
Taking Jaydon Blue in pick No. 238 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. The roster fit checks out.
