The Giants put a flag in the ground for Fa'alili Fa'amoe, 64 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.
That Stowers pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 12 they get a lead back with juice, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
In the 24th overall pick they get a three-down second-level presence, and a steal at that.
Omar Cooper Jr. in No. 37 is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They barely believed it either: Eli Stowers still on the board at slot 105. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
DeMonte Capehart at the Round 5 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the interior defensive lineman. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A tidy little value on Febechi Nwaiwu in pick 186, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Matt Gulbin in pick 192. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A big swing on Fa'alili Fa'amoe at pick No. 193, well ahead of any board in the building. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
