You could see the war room lean forward. Jermod McCoy at the Round 7 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.
It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Jeremiyah Love in the 18th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.

Lee Hunter at Round 7, Pick 23 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A need, and now a little less of one.
Bud Clark at No. 246 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
