The Red Murdock pick is the one that will follow the Falcons into the fall. They took him 67 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.
However the rest shakes out, Prysock at that price is a win they earned. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
The board had Lee Hunter higher than pick No. 63, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They jumped the gun on Ted Hurst, taking him earlier than his grade liked. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A premium they did not need to pay, Ja'Kobi Lane a notch or two before his time. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tacario Davis at No. 122 is the proof. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Red Murdock at pick 131 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The roster fit checks out.
The board fumbled Ephesians Prysock all the way to slot 215, and they scooped it up. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
A big swing on Nolan Rucci at pick 231, well ahead of any board in the building. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
