Every other box got a look, but safety did not. The Giants will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with.
The Delp pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The Barrett reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a cornerstone up front. The biggest hole, addressed.
Nothing to complain about; Denzel Boston went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Nice patience on Devin Moore, who had no business lasting to No. 105. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A tidy bit of business in slot 145, where Oscar Delp graded well above the range. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Bryce Boettcher at Round 6, Pick 5 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Cameron Ball at pick No. 192 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Nick Barrett in pick 193 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
