The Cowboys bled value on every deal, hence the C.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Cowboys, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. That Brooks pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 24th overall pick they get a building block for the line. The biggest hole, addressed.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Xavier Worthy in the 56th pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They paid up for Byron Murphy II at No. 57 when waiting would have done the job. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Nice patience on Jonathon Brooks, who had no business lasting to pick 87. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Junior Colson at pick No. 106 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Chau Smith-Wade at Round 5, Pick 38 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They liked Phil Jurkovec enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 6 slot. It fills a real need, too.
Eric Gentry at slot 245 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
