After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Raiders committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
Milton at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Wingo reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get the face of the franchise at fair value. A real need, handled.
No edge and no loss on T.J. Tampa in pick 47; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Mekhi Wingo well ahead of where he belonged. A need, and now a little less of one.
Javon Foster in the 113th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
The board fumbled Isaiah Adams all the way to pick No. 147, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at No. 210 is the proof. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jordan Magee this early at the 221st pick. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Edefuan Ulofoshio. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Kendall Milton in the 227th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
