They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Williams steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They are betting Jackson proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.9 · Pick 9 · Jayden Daniels · QB · rank 8
In the 9th overall pick they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value.
R2.12 · Pick 44 · Quinyon Mitchell · CB · rank 37
Quinyon Mitchell at the 44th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R3.13 · Pick 77 · Ruke Orhorhoro · DT · rank 72
Ruke Orhorhoro in No. 77 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It fills a real need, too.
R4.12 · Pick 112 · Donovan Jackson · OG · rank 125
A premium they did not need to pay, Donovan Jackson a notch or two before his time. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R5.14 · Pick 150 · James Williams · S · rank 136
James Williams slid further than he should have, and pick 150 is lovely value for the safety. A minor itch, scratched.
R6.15 · Pick 190 · Trey Knox · TE · rank 192
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Trey Knox. A need, and now a little less of one.
R7.14 · Pick 234 · De'Corian Clark · WR · rank 220
A quiet steal in slot 234: De'Corian Clark for less than the market said. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
