They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The McClellan steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 7 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A clean fit for the roster.
They paid sticker price for Xavier Worthy in No. 44, and that is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
No drama and no debate, Braden Fiske went about where he belonged in the 80th pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 112 with a little surplus value in Khyree Jackson. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Javion Cohen at the 150th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
LaDarius Henderson at the Round 5 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Curtis Jacobs is a better player than slot 190 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A tidy bit of business in Round 6, Pick 21, where Josh Proctor graded well above the range. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jase McClellan at No. 234. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
