They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop.
A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. The Hadden steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 7 they get a long-term answer under center. A real need, handled.
Xavier Worthy at pick 44 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Cooper Beebe in the Round 3 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Darius Robinson in pick No. 112 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They read the board right and Kamal Hadden was the payoff at Round 5, Pick 14. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
The board had Julian Pearl higher than No. 190, and the OT-EDGE fell to them anyway. A fine player at a spot low on the priority list.
Blake Watson at the 234th overall pick is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. A need, and now a little less of one.
