The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Jayden Daniels, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. That McClellan pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 9 they get a passer to set the clock by. A real need, handled.
A straight-up fair deal on Xavier Worthy at Round 2, Pick 12, value and slot in agreement. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They paid sticker price for Braden Fiske in the 77th pick, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
The board had Dominick Puni higher than pick 112, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A slide stopped in pick No. 150, with Cam Hart worth more than the price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Ethan Driskell at the 190th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Value with a capital V on Jase McClellan in the Round 7 slot, a genuine coup. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
