This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Taliese Fuaga, the No. 16 name on the board, stolen at the 137th overall pick. Little to argue with here, and the A says so.
Jayden Daniels gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 9 they get the face of the franchise at fair value. A real need, handled.
They barely believed it either: JC Latham still on the board at the Round 2 slot. A need, and now a little less of one.
Xavier Legette at Round 4, Pick 3 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Taking Taliese Fuaga in the 137th overall pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. The roster fit checks out.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. in the Round 6 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Steele Chambers in pick 231, plain and simple. A minor itch, scratched.
