Some picks age like wine; Barryn Sorrell at the 146th pick will need to, sitting 150 spots clear of his grade.
On value alone, Tuten makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 29th pick they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They read the board right and Tre Harris was the payoff at pick 61. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A safety of that caliber at No. 79 is the definition of value, full stop. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They reached into another round for Barryn Sorrell, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They robbed the room for Kobe King here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Jake Briningstool in the 236th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They barely believed it either: Bhayshul Tuten still on the board at Round 7, Pick 31. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
