Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Chiefs were there to profit. Cam Skattebo, the No. 105 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 6 slot.

The cost of the Kight reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
