Somebody in pick 251 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Myles Jones, the No. 220 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Reaching for Gray left real value on the table behind him.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
A reach for Jackson Powers-Johnson in No. 41; a little patience would have been rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A clean, defensible pick in slot 52 with a little surplus value in Calen Bullock. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Chris Braswell. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Cooper Beebe at pick 84. A need, and now a little less of one.
Fair-plus on Mike Sainristil, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Tyler Davis at pick No. 91 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They jumped the gun on Cedric Gray, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
A straight-up fair deal on Isaiah Adams at Round 4, Pick 26, value and slot in agreement. The roster fit checks out.
The board had Braelon Allen higher than pick 168, and the running back fell to them anyway. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Christian Jones at the 203rd overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
De'Corian Clark at Round 6, Pick 41 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Nathaniel Watson in the Round 7 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
They robbed the room for Myles Jones here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
