The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Jackson Powers-Johnson, No. 67, roughly 36 picks past where he belonged. A weekend of give and take that grades a C.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. If Milton III pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 31st pick they get juice off the edge at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
A tidy little value on Bo Nix in slot 37, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Fair-plus on Jordan Morgan, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Jackson Powers-Johnson at the Round 3 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
