The Dolphins looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Miles Frazier at the Round 4 slot regardless, 105 picks early.

The Kiser pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.13 · Pick 13 · Kelvin Banks Jr. · OT · rank 6
In Round 1, Pick 13 they get a blindside protector. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.16 · Pick 48 · Quinn Ewers · QB · rank 92
Quinn Ewers at the Round 2 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R3.34 · Pick 98 · Gunnar Helm · TE · rank 91
Fair-plus on Gunnar Helm, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It fills a real need, too.
R4.14 · Pick 115 · Kevin Winston Jr. · S · rank 98
A quiet steal in slot 115: Kevin Winston Jr. for less than the market said. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
R4.34 · Pick 135 · Miles Frazier · OG · rank 240
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Miles Frazier well ahead of where he belonged. The roster fit checks out.
R5.12 · Pick 151 · Pat Bryant · WR · rank 140
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Pat Bryant in pick No. 151. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R5.17 · Pick 156 · Raheim Sanders · RB · rank 146
They read the board right and Raheim Sanders was the payoff at Round 5, Pick 17. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R7.8 · Pick 226 · Robert Longerbeam · CB · rank 207
Robert Longerbeam in the Round 7 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R7.15 · Pick 233 · Jack Kiser · LB · rank 198
Taking Jack Kiser in the 233rd pick is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R7.34 · Pick 252 · Kai Kroeger · P · rank 268
Kai Kroeger in the 252nd overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
