The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Commanders watched Daijun Edwards slide 49 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want.

It is not that Gray is a bad player; it is that the Commanders had louder needs to answer first.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
