There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Commanders started one anyway for Richard Jibunor, 97 picks ahead of schedule.

Caleb Williams is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. The Haynes pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
