Call it larceny. Calen Bullock sat on the board until pick No. 75, and the Packers did not need to be asked twice.
With quarterback and interior defensive lineman unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
The Berger reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 11th pick they get a building block for the line. A real need, handled.
A tidy little value on Kris Abrams-Draine in pick No. 39, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Fair-plus on Keon Coleman, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Calen Bullock in Round 3, Pick 11 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Steal is underselling it; Landon Jackson at the Round 3 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

Zy Alexander in the 189th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
The board had Dallin Holker higher than pick No. 217, and the tight end fell to them anyway. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Value said wait; Jalen Berger in the 219th pick says they were not listening. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
