The Packers put a flag in the ground for Al Blades Jr., 45 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. With edge rusher, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on OLB-EDGE is the choice that costs them. That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
