You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Commanders did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. Put together, it is a D.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They are betting Overton proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The Jones pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
