The rest of the league will want that one back. Javon Bullard tumbling to the Packers in the Round 3 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

The Packers indulged a want in Bullard while a need in quarterback, wide receiver and other spots stayed open. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Quinyon Mitchell · CB · rank 30
In pick No. 25 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Chop Robinson · DE-EDGE · rank 34
A tidy little value on Chop Robinson in No. 41, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R2.25 · Pick 57 · Calen Bullock · S · rank 46
The board had Calen Bullock higher than the 57th pick, and the safety fell to them anyway. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Javon Bullard · S · rank 63
A curious use of the 88th overall pick. Quarterback, wide receiver and other spots needed the pick; a safety in Javon Bullard did not.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Bucky Irving · RB · rank 92
Bucky Irving in pick 91 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R4.26 · Pick 126 · Kris Abrams-Draine · CB · rank 122
Kris Abrams-Draine at slot 126 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R5.32 · Pick 168 · Layden Robinson · OG · rank 173
By-the-book stuff, Layden Robinson at the Round 5 slot squarely in line with his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R6.28 · Pick 203 · AJ Barner · TE · rank 203
They took AJ Barner at par in Round 6, Pick 28, which is nothing to complain about. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R6.41 · Pick 216 · Jordan Magee · LB · rank 213
Jordan Magee at slot 216 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R7.23 · Pick 243 · Jawhar Jordan · RB · rank 219
You do not let a running back like Jawhar Jordan reach the 243rd pick and blink. They did not. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R7.31 · Pick 251 · Steele Chambers · LB · rank 246
Good price on Steele Chambers in pick 251, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
