Arizona Cardinals

More right than wrong for the Cardinals, and a B- to prove it.

The Cardinals' one glaring miss is quarterback, a need they left exactly as they found it. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Lacy falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They will need Conerly Jr. to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.16 · Pick 16 · Josh Conerly Jr. · OT · rank 36
In Round 1, Pick 16 they get an anchor for the offensive line, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.15 · Pick 47 · Jihaad Campbell · LB · rank 40
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jihaad Campbell in pick No. 47. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R3.14 · Pick 78 · Omarr Norman-Lott · DT · rank 74
They did well to land Omarr Norman-Lott in the 78th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R4.13 · Pick 114 · Shemar Turner · DL · rank 129
Shemar Turner in No. 114 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R5.14 · Pick 153 · Kyren Lacy · WR · rank 134
Steal is underselling it; Kyren Lacy at slot 153 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
