Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Broncos spent Round 4, Pick 11 on Isaiah World, a name most had 34 spots down the list.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. If one pick saves this weekend, it is McNeil-Warren. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
A slide stopped in pick 62, with Emmanuel McNeil-Warren worth more than the price. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They paid sticker price for Michael Trigg in No. 108, and that is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They reached a country mile for Isaiah World at slot 111, and the board is aghast. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Kaleb Elarms-Orr in pick No. 170 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Desmond Reid in Round 7, Pick 30 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Trey Zuhn III in the 256th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They talked themselves into Jordan White at pick No. 257, and the board did not agree. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
