Getting Stukes where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. If Black pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
The Dexter Lawrence II pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
Daylen Everette in pick No. 84 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A cornerback of that caliber at pick 120 is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
No edge and no loss on Isaiah World in the 145th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Zxavian Harris at Round 5, Pick 20 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A need, and now a little less of one.
Nothing to complain about; Dae'Quan Wright went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They went early on Kaelon Black in slot 201, and the value did not follow. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A reach on Fa'alili Fa'amoe in pick 236; the board had better options right there. It fills a real need, too.
Vinny Anthony II at pick No. 256 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Jalon Daniels at No. 257 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
