Somebody in No. 233 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cowboys sat still while Dwight McGlothern, the No. 161 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 24th overall pick they get a long-term starter on the line. The biggest hole, addressed.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Javon Bullard in No. 56. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Sedrick Van Pran at slot 87 is the proof. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

Dwight McGlothern at pick 233 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Somehow Trente Jones was still sitting there in pick No. 244, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
