The Buccaneers bet big and early on Kamran James, 118 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
They banked enough surplus on Stowers to cover a lot of smaller sins. It is not that Perkins Jr. is a bad player; it is that the Buccaneers had louder needs to answer first.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 15 they get a downhill thumper at linebacker at a price that makes it sweeter. Need was not the driver here.
