The Falcons spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.
The Phillips steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 8 they get their quarterback of the future. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
The board had Chop Robinson higher than slot 43, and the edge rusher fell to them anyway. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
You do not let a wide receiver like Malik Washington reach Round 5, Pick 3 and blink. They did not. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Javon Foster at No. 145 is the proof. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They will replay Joe Milton III at the Round 6 slot for years; that is how good the value is. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

Jontrey Hunter at pick 244 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A minor need, but a need all the same.
