You could see the war room lean forward. Cam Hart at Round 5, Pick 23 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
A tidy little value on Tyler Guyton in No. 54, a step better than break-even. It fills a real need, too.
Taking Cam Hart in Round 5, Pick 23 is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
No edge and no loss on Roger Rosengarten in slot 200; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
They robbed the room for Isaiah Williams here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
