The Dolphins did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Quinshon Judkins fell into the Round 7 slot. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
Every board in the league had Greene III lower, and that gap is the story. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th overall pick they get protection for the quarterback. A real need, handled.
They robbed the room for Kenneth Grant here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Malachi Moore in pick No. 98 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Earnest Greene III at slot 114 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jake Majors at Round 4, Pick 32 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Sebastian Castro at the 149th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
