The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named quarterback, a need the Dolphins walked right past. No fireworks, but a solid B.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Frazier. Every board in the league had Sawyer lower, and that gap is the story. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a disruptor off the edge. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Jack Sawyer at No. 57 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Good price on Dallin Holker in pick 162, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Miles Frazier slid further than he should have, and pick No. 203 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
No drama and no debate, Zion Nelson went about where he belonged in the Round 7 slot. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
