If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Dolphins, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will need Haynes to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
Getting Jones where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 29 they get juice off the edge. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Value said wait; Christian Haynes in the Round 2 slot says they were not listening. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Khristian Boyd in No. 155 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They took Javon Baker at par in pick 186, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
The board had cheaper options than Austin Stogner at the 199th overall pick, and it noticed. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Myles Jones at the 239th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It adds depth where they could use a little.
