You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Dolphins did exactly that with Brady Cook in No. 148.

That Sanders pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. With wide receiver and edge rusher unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.

They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
