This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 165 name on the board, stolen at the 219th overall pick. No fireworks, but a solid B.
The Dellinger pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.
Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 14 they get a matchup weapon at tight end. A real need, handled.
They took Jonah Savaiinaea at par in Round 2, Pick 6, which is nothing to complain about. A need, and now a little less of one.
Trey Amos in the 45th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Taking Malachi Moore in No. 145 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Bhayshul Tuten in the Round 7 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A big swing on Torricelli Simpkins III at slot 234, well ahead of any board in the building. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Value said wait; Garrett Dellinger in pick 240 says they were not listening. It fills a real need, too.
