The Cowboys spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Johnny Dixon, the No. 181 name on the board, in pick No. 213. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker.
Kenny Clark gives the group a proven body among the projects. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 24 they get a double-digit-sack hope at a price that makes it sweeter. Need was not the driver here.
Kingsley Suamataia in pick No. 58 is fair value, right on his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A quiet steal in Round 3, Pick 24: Jaylen Wright for less than the market said. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Luke McCaffrey at pick 173 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
