The rest of the league will want that one back. TreVeyon Henderson tumbling to the Vikings in pick 140 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
Reaching for Colby left real value on the table behind him. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 31 they get a long-term starter on the line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They barely believed it either: Kaleb Johnson still on the board at slot 66. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Andrew Mukuba in pick No. 97 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
You do not let a running back like TreVeyon Henderson reach the Round 5 slot and blink. They did not. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A real head-scratcher, Connor Colby in the 161st overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
