The Texans torched the value chart for Jalen Catalon, taking him 35 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The Melton pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher and quarterback. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
