Every other box got a look, but edge rusher did not. The Chargers will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The skill positions did well by the weekend.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a moveable chess piece at tight end. A real need, handled.
Nothing to complain about; Troy Franklin went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They did well to land Jackson Powers-Johnson in No. 69, just ahead of his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
By-the-book stuff, Donovan Edwards at slot 105 squarely in line with his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Mike Sainristil in pick 142. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
