The Chiefs did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Kamal Hadden fell into pick 158. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 32nd overall pick they get protection for the quarterback, even if it was a touch early. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Good price on Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in pick No. 64, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
