Somebody took the Broncos to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Randall has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Dixon.
In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
Pick-by-Pick
Anthony Hill Jr. in pick No. 62 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Eli Stowers at the 65th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They took Jadarian Price at par in No. 68, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Gracen Halton at pick 111 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A cornerback of that caliber at Round 7, Pick 30 is the definition of value, full stop. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They talked themselves into Adam Randall at the 256th overall pick, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A clean, defensible pick in the 257th overall pick with a little surplus value in Nolan Rucci. A need, and now a little less of one.
