You build a draft on nights like this. Hollin Pierce had no business being available in slot 172, and the Cowboys did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

Reaching for Armstrong left real value on the table behind him. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.
