Whoever sat across the table from the Ravens should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.
On value alone, Lew makes the weekend a net positive. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Haynes reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 18 they get a go-to option on the outside, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Emmanuel Pregnon in No. 45 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Fair-plus on Caleb Banks, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Connor Lew in pick No. 80. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A premium they did not need to pay, Harold Perkins Jr. a notch or two before his time. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Nice patience on Joe Royer, who had no business lasting to the 129th pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Isaiah World in pick 144. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They read the board right and Charles Demmings was the payoff at Round 5, Pick 22. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Josh Moten at No. 250 is a conviction pick that outran the value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jamal Haynes in slot 253 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
