The 49ers put a flag in the ground for Louis Moore, 29 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.
The Bisontis value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back.
Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick-by-Pick
Akheem Mesidor in pick No. 36 is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Omar Cooper Jr. slid further than he should have, and slot 43 is lovely value for the wide receiver. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Chase Bisontis at Round 3, Pick 15 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No edge and no loss on Parker Brailsford in the 133rd pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A straight-up fair deal on Hezekiah Masses at pick 138, value and slot in agreement. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Louis Moore at the 139th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A minor itch, scratched.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Nate Boerkircher at the 175th pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jeff Caldwell. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
