The Vikings put a flag in the ground for Myles Cole, 52 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Hart. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
In the end it comes back to T'Vondre Sweat, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
Pick-by-Pick
A premium they did not need to pay, T'Vondre Sweat a notch or two before his time. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Malik Washington at Round 4, Pick 13 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on MarShawn Lloyd. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Isaiah Adams in pick 145 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint slipping to the Round 5 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Edefuan Ulofoshio at slot 166 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the linebacker. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
