The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: James Williams, slot 172, roughly 48 picks past where he belonged. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Kinchens pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They went 6 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
Chop Robinson in the 22nd overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Kamren Kinchens in pick 50 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A need, and now a little less of one.
A slide stopped in the Round 2 slot, with Ja'Tavion Sanders worth more than the price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
No drama and no debate, Isaac Guerendo went about where he belonged in Round 4, Pick 22. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
