The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Giants spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Getting Torrence where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 11th pick they get a passer to set the clock by at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a difference-maker at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They did well to land Kamari Lassiter in the Round 2 slot, just ahead of his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Mike Sainristil at No. 87. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Trey Benson at pick No. 91 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. The roster fit checks out.
No edge and no loss on Blake Fisher in slot 114; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Somehow Sione Vaki was still sitting there in the 183rd overall pick, and they pounced on premier safety value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A cornerback of that caliber at pick 219 is the definition of value, full stop. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
